Fans enjoy a beautiful day at Kansas Speedway with racing action that saw two track records broken during Sunday's NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Price Chopper 400 presented by Kraft Foods. Tony Stewart grabbed the lead on a restart with 26 laps left Sunday at Kansas Speedway and held on to win the NASCAR Sprint Cup race.

Stewart’s fourth win of the season moved him up one spot in the standings to fourth. He was 106 points behind Martin at the start of the day but sliced the margin to 67.

“That’s almost half,” said Stewart, who averaged 137.144 mph for 267 laps at the 1.5-mile oval. Tri-Valley Herald

Gordon, who won the first two Cup races at Kansas Speedway in 2001 and 2002, gave it his best shot but had to settle for second.

“As long as he didn’t make any big mistakes, I wasn’t going to catch him,” Gordon said. Kansas City Star

Greg Biffle finishes third, with Juan Pablo Montoya and Denny Hamlin completing the top-five.

Biffle led a race-high 113 laps, but took four tires on his final stop and could not catch Stewart at the end.

Kasey Kahne finished sixth, while David Reutimann took the eighth spot, Jimmie Johnson ninth and Carl Edwards 10th.
